Vaughn Industries served as the Electrical and Mechanical contractor for Pharmavite’s Project Sunrise, a new 250,000 square-foot state-of-the-art pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in New Albany, Ohio. This advanced plant was designed to produce gummy vitamins and features cutting-edge systems to meet the highest manufacturing and safety standards.

As a leading vitamin and supplement manufacturer, Pharmavite’s investment marks their fourth manufacturing facility, creating 225 new jobs in the Columbus Region (Pharmavite News Release).

Vaughn Industries’ Role

• Electrical Construction:

  Vaughn Industries provided design-assist services and full electrical construction for the facility, which included:

  • Installation of all electrical distribution, fire alarm systems, and OEM equipment connections for the owner’s vendors (Hansel, Pinco, WDS)

  • Infrastructure installation for the current facility as well as provisions for a future manufacturing facility and additional capacity in the existing building

  • Prefabrication: Assembled conduit and electrical components off-site prior to delivery to improve installation efficiency, maintain quality control, and reduce on-site labor time

  • Additional electrical capacity for the existing building to support long-term growth

• Mechanical Construction:
  Our mechanical team also provided design-assist services and installed a broad range of systems to support production and facility operations, including:
  • HVAC Systems: Chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, heating hot water boilers, steam boilers, VFDs, air rotation units, dehumidification units, drying tunnels, and air handling units with VAVs, air valves, fan coil units, and reheat coils

  • Air Distribution: Linear devices, clean room hoods, dust collection systems with ductwork, stainless welded ductwork, and associated piping

  • Prefabrication: Ductwork and mechanical assemblies were fabricated off-site, reducing installation time, improving safety, and delivering cost savings to the client

  • Specialized Installations: Elevated catwalk running the length of the facility, duct and piping for all installed systems, and clean room air management equipment
